Welcome to the NWANT

 

The North Worcestershire Association was founded in 1994 with the aim of supporting the National Trust by entertaining local Trust members with talks, excursions and planned holidays.

Some 200 people from all over the county, including Redditch, Bromsgrove and Droitwich, are members.

Evening meetings with interesting speakers are held monthly from September to June in the Tardebigge Community Hall. Local walks and coach trips to places of interest are arranged all year round.

Talks and walks are well supported and the visits and holidays usually have waiting lists as they are excellent value.

All profits are given to the National Trust. The total raised to the end of 2016 is over £55,000. We mainly support local properties.

The Annual Dinner this year will be on Friday 19th October at the Bromsgrove Golf Club.

Next Meeting - June 21st – “Woven in Kidderminster” – Melvyn Thompson. The history of the carpet industry in the Kidderminster area, including Stourport, Bewdley and Bridgnorth. An illustrated talk including samples, pictures, artefacts and good audience- participation.

 

Next Walk - Saturday 9th June - Sandie Eckersall. Hanbury Hall, church, woods and canal. Lunch at Hanbury Hall.

 

Next Day Trip - WEDNESDAY JUNE 20th.LACOCK ABBEY, FOX TALBOT MUSEUM & VILLAGE, Chippenham. COST £17.50 each. N.T. property.
